From 1985 to 1989, Dr. Porter was Professor of Business and Government at Harvard University and Faculty Chairman of the Program for Senior Managers in Government. Dr. Porter received his B.A. degree from Brigham Young University and was selected as a Rhodes Scholar and Woodrow Wilson Fellow, receiving his B.Phil. degree from Oxford University. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard University. He is the author of several books, including Presidential Decision Making, and, more recently, Efficiency, Equity, and Legitimacy: The Multilateral Trading System at the Millennium. He is a member of the President's Commission on White House Fellowships, a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration, a member of the board of directors of the White House Historical Association, and a member of the advisory boards of the European Institute, the George Bush School of Public Service at Texas A&M University, the Center for Presidential Studies, and the American Council for Capital Formation Center for Policy Research.
